Sheshan Golf Club will play host to the first World Golf Championships held outside the U.S. from 5 to 8 November 2009. At US$7 million, the WGC-HSBC Champions 2009 is the largest prize money tournament in Asia.
For a club that has only been established since 2004, the recognition we have received thus far is commendable. The Asian Golf Monthly 2008 Awards have named us the Best Maintained Course in Asia (2nd), Best Championship Course in Asia (3rd) and Best Clubhouse in Asia (3rd).
