James teaches all levels of golfers, from absolute beginners to National amateurs and PGA Professionals. He believes 'simplicity is the key to good golf; with sound fundamentals and armed with an understanding of what is required to develop a compact golf swing, you will be able to maintain a consistent stroke, leading to a high quality shot that maximizes both distance and accuracy.'
With his Directorial role at Sheshan, James' teaching availability is limited and must be booked by appointment.

Kent Zhao

Kent Zhao's dedication to the game of golf is second to none. Rain or shine, you will find Kent honing his skills on the course and driving range at Sheshan. He has again qualified for the 2009 China Tour, and is looking for a top 10 finish in the series. Kent is a short game specialist and prides himself on being able to take strokes off your game with his keen guidance. Kent says, 'Even if you are able to hit 200 or 300 yards from the tee, a sharp short game is the key to going low and maintaining your scoring average.'
Kent is available daily, except Mondays. It is strongly advised that you book in advance for this very popular professional.

Cyrus Janssen

After completing a professional golf management program in Florida—qualifying him as a class A member of the USPGA—and obtaining a degree in business administration, Cyrus Janssen followed his passion for the game of golf to the David Leadbetter Academy at Silport Golf Club, Shanghai in 2006. At the club, Cyrus built a strong Junior program, which has been enhanced by his study of Mandarin, leading to his unique ability to teach in both Chinese and English. Cyrus believes that 'maintaining solid fundamentals and swinging within oneself will allow you to maintain a golf swing that will not falter and perform well under tournament pressure.'

Once used exclusively by tour professionals, Sheshan's 3DMCS program for its Club members is the first of its kind in China.
