The 18-hole, 72-par golf course designed by NELSON&HAWORTH, the internationally noted golf course designers, is the only golf course in Shanghai which is set near the mountain with a unique forested hillside environment. Built around 1000 year old ginkgo trees, a spectacular quarry with 80 years of history, Jiangnan style bridges over calm waterways with a change in elevation of more than ten metres and in the shadow of the world famous Basilica of our Lady of Sheshan, the course offers a quality golf challenge and scenic views on every hole.

Having already held the HSBC Championship Tournament, the world’s premier golf event, four times, the Sheshan Golf Club now holds the newly upgraded WGC-HSBC, the first of which was during November 5-8, 2009. The Sheshan Golf Club takes prides in its premier course and club that help undertake these world-class championships.

Established in 2004, the Sheshan Golf Club has already received wide acknowledgement and awards from the international golf community. In 2009, the Sheshan Golf course was recognized by Golf Digest as the No.68 top golf course in the world outside of the US. In 2008, the Asian Golf Association awarded the club the honorary title of “The Best Golf Course in Asia'.
